The world may be going digital, but Montblanc is preserving the art of handwriting with a newly released product called Augmented Paper. The kit comes with a StarWalker Ballpoint Pen and a leather envelope holding a digital notebook that translates handwritten notes into digital text on a mobile device. One button transmits the notes to a smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth. So you can start a project in the notebook, return to it on your iPhone, and then shoot it off to your colleagues in an e-mail.
They don't call it Sweet 16 for nothing. Even though this is a traditional and modern gift pick, silver has historically meant clarity. Silver holloware (think: anything related to the dinner table that is not silverware so bowls, trays, and so on) symbolizes unity as well since you enjoy it when you sit down to dine together for your sixteenth anniversary.

"My brother is officiating at my wedding tomorrow and does not need anything, so this was the… more perfect gift for the man who loves to make breakfast for his children and anyone else in attendance. He thought opening it was a hoot, and loved the products inside! Couldn't be happier about the outcome and would absolutely order another gift down the road. A million thanks!" - Leslie less
To overcome the common problem people faced as to what to give one’s spouse each year, an American author by the name of Emily Post, who wrote on the topic of etiquette, was the first to recommend a list of anniversary gift themes which was published in 1922 in her book titled 'Etiquette’. In that book, she listed suggestions for the first anniversary, followed by the fifth anniversary, and then every five years or so up until the 25th, and concluded with the 50th wedding anniversary. The American National Retail Jeweler Association expanded on this list in 1937 by filling in the missing years up to the 14th wedding anniversary, and the subsequent multiples of five up to the 50th year.
Buying one gift is great, two gifts are fine, but buying too many gifts will diminish the value of each additional gift you give to them, rendering the sentiment essentially useless. More thought packed into a single gift beats half-a-dozen smaller ones. It’s not about physical size or the price tag. Understandable occasions are when it’s more than one item to complete a single gift; you wouldn’t buy him just dress pants, would you? You’d opt for a two or three-piece suit. Getting multiple unrelated gifts gives off the idea that you were in a frenzy, and while you threw money at the sentiment, that you were more panicked about getting gifts than making sure they were truly meaningful.
Backpacks are the best back to school gifts for students, especially if they are filled with some snacks and treats! For younger children, a cute critter bag or personalized Stuffie that can also double as a friend when school feels overwhelming make great gifts for children. For teens, consider getting them a messenger bag that will be as stylish as their new back-to-school outfits and leave all their friends asking where they got that cute new bag.
If you’re going for big gifts or small (gifts for 1 year old boys), you’re going to want to hit late February for President’s Day sales. While these tend to apply to major appliances and mattresses, furniture and things of the sort, that could be the perfect thing. If he’s a gamer, and you’re going for a stellar top-budget gift, you could always check out gaming desks or gaming chairs. The trick to utilizing these sales is to see what their doorbuster items are. These are generally things they use to get people in the door (even virtually), and then sell them on great deals on larger items. Some brands even sacrifice making any profit off these items by dropping them so low, just to get you on their site. You’ll also see sales like this come around in late May for Memorial Day sales.
A six-panel window frame becomes a weekly calendar that makes a stylish Christmas present. Each day of the workweek is assigned a pane, and the sixth makes room for notes (or your Christmas list). To make, tape off the wood frame with painter's tape and spray several coats of magnetic spray paint on the front of the glass panes, allowing each coat to dry between applications. Paint each pane with colorful chalkboard paint using a paintbrush to edge and a small foam roller to fill in. Let dry. Remove tape from wood frame.
Most experience events, if not all, should also have you included in the initial cost. It’s not much of an experience if they don’t have someone to go with, and if you’re a best friend or sibling, you know them intimately enough to get something they’ll truly, deeply enjoy. That’s an experience that they’ll want to share with you. The biggest mistake that experience day shoppers make, is not including themselves and running into financial problems. Just understand those experience days, on average, don’t include the cost of transit, tolls, food, drink, etc.
