One of our mates received an engraved pocket watch to commemorate him launching his new business, but it was fairly ironic. His business partner spent some good coin on it, engraving it with Maybe now you’ll be on time since he’d been late to every investor meeting to date. It gave some good laughs but was also an extremely thoughtful gift that also doubled as something functional.

Make that morning commute to work a little less painful. Whether he’s hopping on the train or driving forty-five minutes to make ends meet, if he’s a music lover, you’ll be able to transform that commute into an experience. Spotify gift cards are excellent for streamers with endless data, or an iTunes gift card for local storage music if they don’t have an unlimited GB bucket. Either way, there/s some new tunes, all courtesy of you.
The world's first automatic, all-grain homebrewing appliance, Pico is basically a Keurig for beer. Instead of K-cups, it uses prepackaged boxes of grains and hops from dozens of craft breweries to create whatever style of beer you choose. Whether you prefer a Rogue Dead Guy Ale from Oregon or a Whetstoner Session IPA from Vermont, the Pico allows you to brew up a batch at home. And while it's true that you could buy a hefty supply of beer for what the machine costs, there's nothing quite like tapping a keg of liquid you created yourself.
These slippers have a 5-star rating on Nordstrom from over 3,000 reviews! The Dakota slipper has been around for years, combining fashion and comfort into one. You can even wear the shoe outside, as it has a rubber sole. Speaking from experience, you can’t go wrong with UGG slippers as a gift. In the past six years, I have given a different pair of UGG slippers to my mom, grandmother, grandfather, fiancé, and brothers – and each time, they were a hit.

Instead of searching high and low for the perfect pillow, make this Christmas gift that you know your friend will love! Sketch a geometric design on a square piece of kraft paper to make a template, then trace onto fabric and cut to size. Stitch the shapes together and press the seams open. Cut solid-color fabric to make the back of the pillow covering. Stitch the front and back pieces, right sides together, leaving a small opening. Turn right side out, press, and stuff with a pillow form. Whipstitch the opening closed.
Most women will hint about things when it gets close to their birthday or a holiday. The hint may not always be about a specific item, but may also indicate how she is feeling or how much she feels comfortable about you spending. No matter what she is saying- listen! It’ll make gift shopping easier and ensures you’re getting her something she wants.
To overcome the common problem people faced as to what to give one’s spouse each year, an American author by the name of Emily Post, who wrote on the topic of etiquette, was the first to recommend a list of anniversary gift themes which was published in 1922 in her book titled 'Etiquette’. In that book, she listed suggestions for the first anniversary, followed by the fifth anniversary, and then every five years or so up until the 25th, and concluded with the 50th wedding anniversary. The American National Retail Jeweler Association expanded on this list in 1937 by filling in the missing years up to the 14th wedding anniversary, and the subsequent multiples of five up to the 50th year.
These marbleized candlestick holders look like an expensive Christmas gift, but they're actually a simple DIY project. Just dip candlestick holders into paint and water for a stylish swirled design, and give them to parents or grandparents to enjoy. For a Christmas look, we suggest choosing holiday hues, like red and green. For a more timeless approach, silver and plum create a year-round classic.

So he’s more of a hiker; that’s okay. July has Independence Day sales on a lot of hiking gear, outdoor furniture, and even grills. It’s the dead set center of the summer, and in certain areas, those are the only months where they can really do anything with the great outdoors. Give them an addition to their hiking arsenal, and pocket the shaved-off top of the budget to keep for yourself (or grab them an additional gift). You’ll also see similar sales on Labor Day come the beginning of September.

Pajamas: Not enough people realize the role pajamas can play in getting a good night's sleep. If your PJs are too insulating, it takes longer to fall asleep, and you end up tossing and turning all night. The solution is silk pajamas. Silk is a natural protein fiber that can keep you just warm enough in the winter and just cool enough in the summer.
Most experience events, if not all, should also have you included in the initial cost. It’s not much of an experience if they don’t have someone to go with, and if you’re a best friend or sibling, you know them intimately enough to get something they’ll truly, deeply enjoy. That’s an experience that they’ll want to share with you. The biggest mistake that experience day shoppers make, is not including themselves and running into financial problems. Just understand those experience days, on average, don’t include the cost of transit, tolls, food, drink, etc.
