Durable board books for infants personalized with the baby's name and photo make adorable keepsakes, while older adopted children will love seeing their name and photo in print in beautifully illustrated storybooks. For children who just became big brothers and sisters, personalized storybooks remind them they're still loved, and that a new sibling can be fun.
In our opinion, this is the easiest guy to shop for. He’s not going to be upset, but may not be totally enthused, either. Unless you get him something that blows his mind, or at least all other gifts out of the water, you’ll probably end up prying about how much he really liked the gift. They’re a bit less reactive and often quieter about how they really feel about a gift, whether positive or negative.
How cute is this camera?! This is a great gift for people who love taking pictures and HAVING pictures. I bought and used the Instax Mini 9 at my wedding this year for guests to take photos of themselves. A friend also had the camera while we were traveling in Greece this summer, and I have some of those pictures hanging on my fridge. Great for adults, college students, and teens, this Fujifilm camera is an excellent gift.
This DIY Christmas present revitalizes your favorite memories in a display to frame family and friends. Start with a photo that's cut to fit a glass bottle. Coat the front of the photo with glass decoupage using a foam paint brush. Press the photo face-down onto the outside surface of a bottle, smooth out air bubbles, and let the decoupage dry. Repeat this process on several bottles to create a sprawling display. Write cute Christmas notes and suspend them from a few of the bottle cork toppers using gold wires. This gift is perfect for memorializing old family Christmas photos for years to come — just add a new one each year.
If he loves to eat, grill it up, handle the kitchen, or he’s a major coffee connoisseur, then you’ve got a wide range of gifts you can get that he probably doesn’t have. There’s always cutting-edge culinary tech or new high-end cutlery that’s emerging onto the market, which we like to put our focus on from time to time. He may not be a master chef, but with your thoughtful gift(s), who knows? He could be on his way.

To overcome the common problem people faced as to what to give one’s spouse each year, an American author by the name of Emily Post, who wrote on the topic of etiquette, was the first to recommend a list of anniversary gift themes which was published in 1922 in her book titled 'Etiquette’. In that book, she listed suggestions for the first anniversary, followed by the fifth anniversary, and then every five years or so up until the 25th, and concluded with the 50th wedding anniversary. The American National Retail Jeweler Association expanded on this list in 1937 by filling in the missing years up to the 14th wedding anniversary, and the subsequent multiples of five up to the 50th year.
Spending more doesn’t make the gift more valuable; in fact, it can actually spark more of an argument than just ignoring the event, and not getting him a gift at all. If you’re the SO, you might spark a feeling of indebtedness from the gift recipient. Even in our progressive world, there are still issues where men will feel inadequate based on their spouse earning more than them, providing more “value” to the family (however they like to measure it), and so on. Getting a gift that’s expensive or out of an acceptable price range, could send a bad message. Men are simple, and enjoy simple gifts; study what you believe they’ll want, but don’t overthink it and psych yourself out.
Jenna - I sent this crate to a long-term contractor of mine who deserved a cool and unique show of… more appreciation. He absolutely loved the gift (and probably the crate and duct tape wrapping even more!)--he said it totally made his day (and week!). I had the gift delivered to his office and he said all of his colleagues were standing around watching when it was delivered, wondering what it was and how in the heck he was going to open it. I wish I could have been there to see it! Thank, Man Crates! :D less

He works his fingers to the bone, and he’s being given a serious promotion. The kind of promotion where there’s going to be a celebration. Whether you’re orchestrating it or not, it’s up to you to get something that really makes an impact. These events don’t call for functional items, but rather, significant and personalized trophy-style gifts. Engraved pens, embroidered briefcases (for their new office), or a new custom nameplate for their new desk. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. We’re personal fans of blending a few items with commemoration, and function. Things like custom mugs, custom luggage sets (if their new job means they’ll be traveling a lot and things of the sort.

Now that you’ve really honed in on your tastes as a couple, register for something you’ll really use and enjoy, like a wine fridge. This 54-bottle cooler can either be installed into a built-in space or work freestanding, so you can use it in the kitchen, basement or even a corner of the living room. It can be set to a range of temperatures to get the perfect chill for your favorite wine, and will automatically set to your last saved temperature should the power go out, and it’s virtually silent when it runs so it’s not adding noise pollution to your space.

"I ordered this for my son's birthday, and I thought I was being totally redundant because part of… more what he does FOR A LIVING, is to make and sell BBQ. As a matter of fact, he has won many local awards for his BBQ. When he opened his crate, he was delighted with the contents, and I guarantee everything will be promptly used. Thanks so much for this great (and painless gift). The next crate I order will be for my son-in-law's birthday. I wish you had a DIY crate - that would be the one for him, but I suppose I'll have to wait on that!” - Jennifer less

"I’m jealous! This crate was for my husband, but oh my goodness, can I just say we both are loving… more it!?!! The smokey flavor of the maple syrup is amazing! My husband loves Old Fashions so this was perfect for him. But now they may be my new favorite as well! The bitters are amazing too! It’s always been hard for me to find bitters that make a drink good but wow! These are great!! The glasses are made in Germany and much nicer than I expected. The crate is great and makes the gift fun and unique! I highly recommend!!" - Kelly less
Whether that's true for you and your love or not, we took it upon ourselves to curate a list of paper and paper-inspired ideas your love is sure to cherish. With a wedding photo album keepsake you'll have forever, a magical Harry Potter book set for your favorite J.K. Rowling fan, and an on-the-go Instagram photo printer that'll help you keep track of all of your couple selfies, this gift guide is bursting with inspired ideas that you definitely didn't see coming.
This Round’s on Me - Going out for a drink is the age-old expression of downtime, and telling someone that you want to spend a good few minutes with them, while also treating them to something. These are a great impromptu way to help them take a load off while being able to enjoy some quality time with them yourself. You can also save a bit of money here, so long as you don’t get them blackout drunk, you know?
For Christmas gift-giving emergencies, dress up a simple gift card with our festive holiday holders. Stitch two pieces of felt together, using your card to measure the proper sizes of felt. Trace holiday-theme stencil designs onto felt in contrasting colors; cut out. Use hot-glue to secure to holder. Cut a small circle at the top of each tag; thread with baker's twine.
Just Like the Newsies - There’s just something classic about brown paper and leather strip tying it all together. This is fairly cheap since the paper isn’t bleached or treated in most cases. It also saves you from buying a big roll of wrapping paper when you’re only wrapping a single gift. This wrapping is excellent for gifting clothing or stylish items.
Some exchanges may require you to bring a form of photo ID, even just for exchanges. If there’s a physical store, you can go for the same item in different colors or sizes, or as we mentioned, something of equal or lesser value. In the end, you could even grab the store credit, and transfer it over to the gentleman on your list who didn’t like the gift. That way, he’ll be able to go pick something out or use it with his own money for a larger purchase.
This Christmas gift makes an adorable office decoration or home accessory. Colorful baker's twine and papier-mache come together to create a too-cute monogrammed Christmas gift perfect for mom, best friends or sisters. Embellish a flat wooden frame with varying widths of wrapped twine on opposite corners. Then display a twine-wrapped papier-mache letter inside the frame opening. For a full Christmas theme, gravitate toward red and green twine.
In the 1920s, Emily Post, an American writer, attempted to solve the issue of what gift to give on the occasion of an anniversary by drawing up lists of anniversary themes in a book titled “Etiquette”, published in 1922. However, only some anniversary years were included in the book, the first, fifth, then every fifth year up to the 25th wedding anniversary. In 1937, the American National Retail Jeweler Association added additional years to the list, including all years up to 14 years of marriage, and every 5th year up to 50 years of marriage. These are known as traditional themes linked with each marital year. More recently, a contemporary list was created, and today, all the anniversary years from 1 up to 30 have been linked with a theme or material, and then every fifth year up to 75 years of marriage.
